Wouter Roeterink (28, artist) designs and realizes projects that can be seen as art works and as functional furniture at the same time. His work is characterized by a high level of technical detailling and finishing and always shows a keen observing eye with a little twist.
B
elow are a few of his realized projects.

Physical telephone

proportions: 350 x 35 x 8 cm
description: This is a reaction on devices getting smaller and smaller. The user has to use force to push the buttons and thus will have a more active and more physical conversation. This telephone is a working model.

Stereo shelves

proportions: 140 x 40 x 25 cm
description: These shelve are especially meant for stereo sets or speakers. The connections are incorporated in the design, thus hiding the usual wire jumble for the eye.

Videoscope

proportions: 165 x 115 x 8 cm
description: This wall piece can be used for storing video tapes. Together, they form a still from a famous movie. The tape details can be written on the lower shelve, which can be opened.

Wireframe cloth dryer

proportions: 250 x 200 x 50 cm
description: This wireframe is meant for drying cothes. The tube can be connected to a water inlet, so that hot water runs through the cloth rack.
