Stedelijk Museum

The amazing programming artist Jochem van der Spek asked me to assist him with two kids workshops for the temporary Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam. He discussed the different ways artists look at the world and compared the kids’ views with Mondriaan and Tinguely. After that, they were asked to draw lines based on a very simple set of rules. By changing the rules slightly, we turned them into a sort of little drawing robots that could be programmed to draw. Surprisingly diverse results.
